If you’re the type who likes to rearrange their kitchen layout every other week, this portable stove is so easy to bring around that it won’t give you a hard time.

The FES27C’s lightweight body is made of heat-resistant aluminum-alloy metal, and its burner uses non-stick coating. This will make it less likely to damage your pots and pans while heating.

Right in front of the unit is a small red on/off indicator light so you’d know at a glance if the appliance is running or not.

The Standard brand is a household name for affordable and reliable kitchen appliances. Its reputation for durable stoves is not exclusive to gas stoves – it’s just as popular among electric stoves as well!

We found the SEC-1102 model to be special because it’s a double electric heater that sells cheaper than some single burners in the market. This is ideal for heating multiple dishes and for cooking over a longer period of time.

This Standard model is a double coil electric stove designed for direct heat cooking. It has two knobs, one for each burner. There are three precise heat settings: low, medium, and high.

It also has an orange pilot lamp indicator on the upper left of the panel to signify when it’s switched on. Take note that the burner slowly goes from orange to grey black after switching the knob to turn off.

Its stainless metal body gives it a classic look, and makes it built-to-last. It also has thermal fuse protection, which is a necessary feature to prevent your unit from overheating.

The only real drawback here is that since there are two burners, it takes up more space on your countertop and its electricity consumption is higher than a single coil stove.

The unit is sized for small pans, but the Micromatic MES-200 truly shines as it can evenly heat even the highest quality cookware from stainless steel to marble.

Among all the electric stoves in the market, one stands out as the sturdiest unit that ticks off all the boxes for design and energy efficiency: the ES-601 from Asahi.

The Asahi ES-601 is by far the most well-built unit we’ve seen. From a design perspective, it looks more like a gas or dual-fuel stove, which could confuse potential buyers.

It’s silver and black in color, and looks like anything you’d find at home or in a small commercial kitchen. Upon closer inspection, however, we found that the ES-601 is comprised of quality materials which translate to highly effective stove use.

This Asahi model possesses standard fare: an on/off switch, indicator light, non-slip feet, and overheat protection. It has the 3 basic temperature settings coupled with a high quality heating element, making it suitable for indoor and outdoor cooking.

It has a stainless steel hob, a 6-inch coil, and a knob as well as side panels that are heat-resistant. The ES-601 has a sideplate made out of phenolic resin, which is has good heat and electrical resistance.

Its burner coil is fast-heating as well, which can make it double as a grill if you’re using it outdoors. 

At only 1200W, it’s a smart choice whether you want to keep your electricity bill down or want to invite family and friends over for a backyard barbecue.

The only major drawback we see is that the unit itself is on the pricier side, but it’s well worth it if you wish to get a stove that can do more for you.
