Pros
- Anti-theft design
- Water-resistant fabric
- Zipper is made of waterproof microfiber
- 180-degree opening
Cons
- Pricey
- Quite heavy
Arctic Hunter B00350 is a suitable choice if you prefer to go overseas and want to have a compact bag.
It is an expandable travel backpack that can accommodate a lot of extra items, from clothes to laptops.
The built-in waterproof isolation bag also got us hooked because it can fit a lot of toiletries and be detached from the bag. So once you’re in your accommodation, you can just hook the isolation bag in the bathroom for easy access.
Convenience doesn’t end there because it also has a luggage strap. Thus, it can be placed atop your suitcase, making you comfortable if you don’t want to carry it.
This is quite useful because it can get quite heavy, which is one of the things we’re not so happy about.
In case you don’t have a suitcase, you can still be comfortable because the shoulder strap is made up of pearl cotton.
Additionally, the bag’s pockets are anti-theft, allowing you to travel with fewer worries about your valuables going missing.
Among the bags on this list, this one has the best laptop storage space since it can fit a 17-inch laptop inside. The cushion in the compartment is also good for the laptop as the space is compact and the laptop will not move around when you travel.
Aside from your laptop, you can also bring your tablet with you, and this bag can fit tablets up to 9.7 inches.
In terms of design, this one is our top pick because it opens like a suitcase. Because of this, you can easily access your things without messing up all the things inside to get to the bottom.
If you have extra to spare, we think that Arctic Hunter B00350 is a wise investment because it’s a good companion for your long-term travels.

Pros
- Convertible to a duffel bag or shoulder bag
- Straps have soft decompression foam
- Water and scratch resistant
- Anti-theft design
- Affordable
Cons
- On the heavier side
- Bulkier
- Strap connector is made up of plastic
If you’re looking for an affordable travel bag with a lot of compartments, we think that the KAKA Travel Backpack is the way to go.
It has multi-layer compartments inside the bag and has a total of 10 pockets. All of these functional pockets can be used to separate your things like a laptop, a tablet, A4 files, a wallet, clothes, a power bank, and more.
It’s a plus that the bag’s straps have soft decompression foam, which makes carrying heavier loads more bearable.
The convertible design makes it really versatile because you can use it as a duffel bag or a shoulder bag. Hence, you can use it when you’re going to the gym or doing fieldwork.
We like that it also has an anti-theft design, making it suitable for the everyday commute. Added to this, we noticed that the fabric is water- and scratch- resistant, so we’re amazed by it even more.
However, since it has a big 40 L capacity, it’s a bit heavier and bulkier compared to other travel backpacks on this list.
Additionally, we noticed that the strap connector for the bag is made of plastic. Therefore, if you put too heavy a load inside, there’s a chance it will break easily.
Even so, we’re still fond of this bag because despite being the biggest bag on this list, it is still the most budget-friendly one.

⮕Functionality | 4.6/5 |
Pros
- Equipped with waterproof fabric and zippers
- Fabric is scratch-resistant
- Has card and back pockets
- Has a chest-buckle
Cons
- Cannot open sideways
- Subpar stitches
If you’re looking for a travel backpack for school, we believe that Ozuko 9409 is a suitable choice.
The wide opening allows you to easily access your books and laptop without having to dig through the bag. Aside from that, for busy commuters, you can put your beep card in the strap pocket, making it handier.
We especially like that the compartments have straps and make your things secure when you’re travelling. There is also a laptop strap allowing the laptop to stay fixed as you walk or run.
Ozuko 9409 is also generous in terms of pockets as it has two side pockets. The top parts of both have another easy access pocket for your umbrella or small tumbler, which is convenient.
Similarly, the front also has three pockets in total so you can organize your things efficiently. It’s also a bonus that for your phone or power bank, the front pocket has two separators, so you won’t have to rummage inside your bag.
In case you’re in a busy area and want extra security, you can put your valuables in the back pocket.
Undoubtedly, we think that it’s suitable for everyday use because the fabric is waterproof and scratch-resistant. That said, you’ll have no problem carrying a lot of electronic gadgets and papers with you.
This one is also at the top of the list for support since it includes a chest buckle that helps distribute your body’s weight evenly. As a result, you’ll feel less tension in your shoulders.
However, when tested, we noticed that the bag has subpar stitches, especially with the zippers. Therefore, we recommend that you open it gently and not put a lot of bulky and heavy things inside.
Moreover, since it cannot open sideways, we think it’s not the best substitute for a suitcase. Nonetheless, we still like Ozuko 9409 because it is handy and has a lot of functional features.

Pros
- Lightweight
- Water-resistant
- Has 4 pads for back ventilation
- Has a pole holder and blanket carrier
- Comes with a chest and stomach belt
Cons
- Only has one divider
- Has fewer pockets compared to others on this list
If you often go on a hike or camp, then Decathlon Quechua NH100 is your best bet.
It is lightweight and offers good carrying comfort with padded shoulder straps. We like that it also has a stomach and chest belt that helps you in carrying it easily without putting too much pressure on your shoulders.
We’re also happy that the back has four pads which are good for ventilation.
We also appreciate that it has a pole holder so you can easily carry your trekking or fishing poles without the hassle of bringing separate bags for them.
Similarly, it has a blanket carrier at the bottom, so blankets won’t take up much room within the bag. It even has a lot of elastic that can carry or dry your jacket while you’re trekking.
Furthermore, we think that it’s great because it is abrasion and water-resistant. Thus, your clothing and other essentials won’t get wet in case of weather changes while you’re on a hike.
However, we think it’s not the best for daily commutes especially if you’re bringing a laptop because its divider doesn’t give much support.
It also has fewer pockets than other bags on this list which is quite understandable because it is designed to carry hiking tools that are relatively bigger.
Nevertheless, we believe that Decathlon Quechua NH100 is a good travel companion for your next adventure because it is versatile and durable.

Pros
- Equipped with a USB charging port
- Has a hidden back pocket
- Scratch and water-resistant fabric
Cons
- Only has 15 L capacity
- Zippers are not anti-theft
If you’re looking for a travel backpack for everyday commute, then we highly recommend Tigernu T-B3939.
It has a wide opening equipped with pockets on top, side, and front that allows you to easily access your things like your wallet, phone, or more when commuting.
Because of its design, we believe that it’s the most functional especially if you’re using the train, riding the jeep, bicycling, or even motorcycling.
We’re also amazed by the USB charging port on the side because you can easily charge your phone without holding onto your power bank.
Additionally, it is accessible so you can easily get your belongings even when you’re in a bus or jeep. We noticed, however, that the zippers are not anti-theft, which is a drawback of the easy-access function.
That said, you may need to be extra careful when you’re in a bustling area. Though it has a hidden back pocket that allows you to fit your phone and wallet for extra security.
We think that it’s great because it has a scratch and water-resistant fabric that can withstand rain and everyday hustle and bustle.
The honeycomb breathable backside also enables your back not to produce a lot of sweat because it allows the air to go through your back easily. The strap is also equipped with a thick cushion so it isn’t too cumbersome or painful on your shoulders.
Despite having only a 15 L capacity, we think it’s already enough to fit your everyday belongings like books, laptops, papers, and more.
However, if you’re taking a trip for several days and don’t have a suitcase, we don’t recommend only having this bag as clothes will take up a lot of room.
