Pros
- Affordable
- Can take 4k quality videos
Cons
- Lightweight
- Thin body and propeller
If you’re looking for an affordable drone for your casual videography needs, we highly recommend the New E88 Pro Drone.
We like that for only Php 997, you can already take 4k videos with a resolution of 1080p. It also has a dual camera which allows you to capture dynamic images and videos from various perspectives.
We also think it’s worth mentioning that its switch can easily be controlled with the remote that it comes with. Meaning, you don’t need to go through the app and configure it to switch between the cameras.
It’s also surprising that it can be used for real-time streaming. Thus, if you are a starting Youtube travel vlog, we think this drone is the way to go.
Based on our assessment, its video perspective is top-notch thanks to its headless mode and 90 to 180 degrees adjustable camera.
We’re also impressed with its 360 degrees omnidirectional obstacle avoidance function. With this capability, the drone can scan its surroundings and instantly identify any obstacles in its route.
Thus, you have a lot of time to maneuver against obstacles like trees and posts. This feature also helps you to avoid accidents which can prolong the life of your drone.
However, the body is quite thin and lightweight. We also noticed that strong winds can easily blow it away, making it susceptible to breakage.
Because of this, we think that it’s best not to fly this one on windy days.

Pros
- Can reach long distances
- Has 3-axis gimbal
- Has GPS Precise Hover
- Has simple editing feature
Cons
- Expensive
- Only has 2.7k resolution
- No collision sensors
If you’re into capturing fast-moving and active subjects, we highly recommend DJI Mini SE Drone.
Firstly, it has a GPS precise hover that allows it to locate itself easily in the sky without delay. It also has a long reach of up to 4 km which has the widest reach among the drones on this list.
Aside from that, it’s also equipped with a 3-axis gimbal that enables it to capture stable videos on the air.
Because of this, it is able to counteract any inadvertent camera motion while recording since it can move along 3 separate axes compared to most drones that only have 2 axes.
That said, we think that the DJI Mini SE Drone is excellent for different types of filmmaking shots. This includes panning, tracking, and similar shots that require seamless transitions.
We’re also amazed that it comes with direct editing features in the DJI Fly App.
When used, however, we noticed that it doesn’t have anti-collision sensors, making it fall behind other cheaper drones on the market. This also means that you’ll have to be extra careful when flying.
The landing sensor makes up for it, though, since the drone will convert to autonomous landing mode when it is too close to the ground.
Additionally, compared to other similar-priced drones, the camera resolution is lacking. It only captures videos at 2.5k which have fewer pixels than competitors with a 4k resolution.
Overall, if you have extra to spare and want a high-end drone, DJI Mini SE Drone is worth the investment.

Battery | 4.9/5 |
Pros
- Has built-in video editing feature
- Has a brushless motor
- Has a flight plan feature
- High battery capacity
Cons
- Expensive batteries
- Cannot be connected with low-end phones
If you’re looking for a high-end drone that offers 4k video resolution and good battery capacity, we think that the Sjrc F11S is a good choice.
First off, we like that this drone produces photos that have 3840 x 2160P of resolution and videos with 1280 x 720P of resolution. In our opinion, this makes the Sjrc F11s among the drones that have the best camera quality.
It also has a brushless motor that provides superior flying performance and greater durability than those that have brush motors. To boot, it doesn’t require much maintenance and has been proven to be long-lasting.
Among others, we think it’s impressive that despite having multiple complicated features, it is also beginner-friendly.
We also like that it has a headless mode wherein you can only move applicable sticks no matter which way the quadcopter is turned. With this, you don’t need to worry about possible navigation problems.
It’s also convenient that the drone has a customizable flight plan feature. All you need to do is open the app on your phone then sketch a path for the gadget to follow.
In our perspective, the Sjrc F11S is suitable for those who want to take similar shots in the same route, perfect for filmmakers.
It’s great that it even has image scaling and an intelligent follow feature which we believe is a huge plus for those who frequently vlog.
However, we think it’s quite a bummer that the Sjrc F11S isn’t compatible with non-5G phones. Hence, you’ll need to invest in a 5G-compatible phone if you want to try this one out.
Also, its battery is quite costly compared to other brands on this list, ranging from Php 2,500 – Php 3,000 each. Nevertheless, it’s worth it for us because it has a high battery capacity and a long run time of about 26 minutes.

Pros
- Affordable
- Can be connected to VR glasses
- Has WiFi FPV support
- Compact design
Cons
- Only has 720P HD camera
- No anti-collision sensors
EWA Quadcopter Drone is another affordable drone that has features comparable to high-end ones.
In our opinion, one of the best aspects of this drone is the camera’s WiFi FPV capabilities. We like the convenience of allowing you to transmit live video footage to your mobile device.
That said, we recommend this for those who want to use drones for monitoring, searching, and rescuing or those who want to try live streaming landscapes.
Another feature worth highlighting for avid watchers is that you can also enjoy 3D real-time transmission visualization when wearing VR Glasses.
We also like that it’s quite easy to configure as you just have to connect it to the app. After, you’ll be able to see videos as if you’re the one flying.
It’s also a big plus that the EWA Quadcopter Drone is compact, making it a good travel companion. Since it is as small as a PSP, you can just easily bring it along with you anywhere.
But here’s the hitch: the EWA Quadcopter Drone has a resolution of only up to 730P. Hence, you may not get the best footage clarity when it comes to camera quality.
Also, it doesn’t come with anti-collision sensors, so you’ll need to be more attentive when flying this one out.
Having said that, we think that it’s best to be used in wide open spaces without wires or posts so you don’t have to worry about it tangling.

⮕Features | 4/5 |

Pros
- Shock-absorbent design
- Compatible with Bluetooth game handle control
Cons
- Low battery capacity
- Can only reach 50 meters’ worth of distance
If you’re looking for a simple and child-friendly drone, we think that the Xiaomi Mi Mini Drone is your best bet.
When it comes to its design, we appreciate that it has a shock-absorbent body and it has protective frames on four of its propellers.
To boot, the frames are also sturdy and cannot easily be scratched. So, even if it doesn’t have sensors, you won’t have a problem with collisions.
We like that the overall design is simple because you don’t have a lot to configure.
It can be connected with both IOS and android, through an app, Mi Drone Mini. With the app, it’s great that you can easily control it with a game controller-like setup.
We’re also surprised that it can be used in actual games thanks to its Infrared Battle mode. Here, you can fire at other drones which will vibrate once it is “shot”.
For us, this is the most entertaining feature as it allows the users to play with the drones of other users. It’s even compatible with Bluetooth game handle control that allows you to maneuver it.
We also think it’s great that it offers a headless mode. Here, the drone only flies in the direction the camera is facing
The G-sensor mode is also another beginner-friendly mode wherein the drone’s head can be controlled by the phone’s tilting. .
Having said that, we definitely think that the Xiaomi Mi Mini Drone is a good starting drone for beginners who’d like to try out more expensive models.
However, among the drones on this list, this one has the nearest distance limitations of just only up to 50 meters. Thus, you cannot use this for taking pan shots or huge landscape shots.
Also, this drone has a low battery capacity of only 920 mAh, so we only recommend this for casual use.
