Pros
- Affordable price
- Nice web user interface for setup
- Good coverage
- Has parental control feature
Cons
- Short Ethernet cable
- Has no USB port
The Tenda AC23 is one of the most affordable units we reviewed, and we were happy to find it offered a lot for a router at a great price point.
It has a stack of 7 antennas on the router, which to some may look funny at first, but that enables it to have a maximum throughput of 2033 mbps. With the AC23, you can enjoy a dual-band frequency that can run on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz.
Upon setup, you’ll find that it has a nice web user interface which will provide you with a good deal of options you can customize your router with. It supports Beamfolding, which basically helps you strengthen the signal directly to one of your connected devices.
The AC23 is a mid-range router good for medium-sized homes, like a 3-bedroom apartment or a bungalow. It’s also ideal for parents, as you can set up the router to block harmful websites on any connected device using the parental control feature.
Sadly, the Tenda AC23 only comes with a short Ethernet cable. If you’ll need a longer one for your router, you ought to buy a separate unit for it.
Aside from this, the AC23 doesn’t have any USB port on the router.

Pros
- WiFi 6 router
- Powerful CPU
- Larger bandwidth
- Ultra-fast WiFi speed
- Fantastic coverage
Cons
- Expensive
- Has no USB port
The Huawei AX3 is one of the best routers you can find in the market today. It has all the best qualities of a WiFi router, and will beat your free ISP router to a pulp when you see the difference.
The AX3 is a WiFi 6 router, which means it offers 9.6 Gbps compared to 3.5 Gbps on WiFi 5. This is important because it improves the performance of the router when multiple devices are connected to it at a time.
It’s a great unit to have in big homes, as this router has fantastic coverage. You can connect to the WiFi from another floor, or even from rooms far away from the router.
If you want to make your home speed even faster, the AX3 supports WiFi mesh network expansions.
What we love about the Huawei AX3 is that it has a GigaHome processor and WiFi 6 Plus tech that ensures a stable connection despite heavy loads, and a larger bandwidth that translates to ultra-fast WiFi speed.
The downside to this powerful router is its price, even on sale it is sold at over 3,000 Php. Aside from this, the Huawei AX3 also does not have a USB port which can be used for expansion.

Pros
- High-speed dual band router
- Easy to set up and use
- Can be controlled with Mi Home smartphone app
Cons
- Limited coverage
- Only has 2 Ethernet ports
If you want a reliable router at a mind-blowing price, Xiaomi will not disappoint with its Mi Router 4A. It has dual band features at 2.4GHz and 5 GHz and 1.1 Gbps transmission rate.
This Xiaomi router is very basic, but the perk here is how easy it is to set up and use. It has a classic design that’s very easy on the eyes with 4 sleek external antennas, and can handle a roughly 50-meter circular range.
The Mi 4A allows connection for up to 128 devices, and you can control the router remotely via the Xiaomi Mi Home App.
Through the app, the Xiaomi Mi Router 4A provides you with a lot of customization features with a very user-friendly interface. This won’t intimidate even the least tech-savvy member of your family!
You can tweak its WiFi optimization to improve network performance, prevent unauthorized access to your network, manage devices, and use Healthy mode which sets a timer to switch off your WiFi to encourage health habits and less screen-time.
The downside to the Xiaomi Mi Router 4A is that it provides limited coverage. Over a greater distance from the router, you’ll see WiFi speed dropping off dramatically.
Apart from this, the Mi Router 4A only has 2 ethernet ports, which may be a dealbreaker for some customers.

- Quick setup and installation
- Remarkably fast WiFi speed for WiFi 5
- Beamforming compatible
- Has parental controls
Cons
- Only available online
- WiFi 5 and not WiFi 6
- Coverage is limited to 1 or 2 floors
TP-Link is a very trusted brand for home WiFi networking. The A5 router is a TP-Link Archer online exclusive model, which has top-grossing sales on both Lazada and Shopee.
It has four antennas that assure efficient and stable network connection. What we like about this router is that its WiFi speed is remarkably fast for a WiFi 5 router.
It can handle simultaneous 2.4GHz 300 Mbps and 5GHz 867 Mbps connections for 1200 Mbps of total available bandwidth.
We enjoyed quick setup and installation on the TP-Link Archer A5, owing to its straightforward web interface and compatible Tether app. Tether allows you to manage network settings in-app as well.
The router supports IGMP Proxy, Bridge, and Tag VLAN, as well as Access Point mode to create new WiFi access points. The Archer A5 is also beamforming compatible, which is a major plus for customization.
The tough part about getting this unit is that it’s only available online at the moment. It’s also only WiFi 5 and not WiFi 6, which means less devices can connect to this router with ease.
In terms of coverage, the Archer A5 is limited to 1 to 2 floors; bigger homes and spaces may require additional mesh or a more powerful router.

Pros
- Uses WiFi 6
- Good performance
- Has many additional features
- Has a USB port
Cons
- Hard to set up and operate
- Coverage is average
- Very expensive; not worth the money if you can’t maximize its features
If you’re a gamer or come from a family of gamers and are in need of a wireless router to keep up with your demands and pace, we recommend the Asus AX3000 TUF.
The AX3000 is definitely an upgrade from the routers that come free with your respective Internet service providers.
It’s a dual-band WiFi 6 router and product in the TUF series, which means that you can expect a great deal of durability and good performance. It also has a USB port, so you can connect an external drive on the router to transform it into a NAS.
It has a 160MHz bandwidth for high efficiency, and comes with firmware game optimization making it a topnotch router for gamers of every kind.
This Asus model has many additional features on its Game Boost tab, including easy port forwarding, which makes your console more accessible to other consoles online.
It also has a Transfer Accelerator, which is great for choosing a gaming computer to prioritize connections when gaming.
What we don’t like about the Asus AX3000 is that despite being a mid-range router, it’s harder to set up and operate. Its coverage is also average at best, with only roughly 25m of range.
Among all the routers we reviewed, it’s also the most expensive model. The downside to getting this unit is that if you can’t maximize its additional features, you may not get your money’s worth for this router.
