Pros
- Affordable and portable
- Equipped with seven layers of water purification
Cons
- Cheaper build that’s prone to leakage
- Small water capacity
- Slow filtration process
The Water Purifier Pot sold by the company SkyClear is a staple in lots of Filipino homes. This purifying pot is an easy way to purify your tap water, as you only need to rely on the power of gravity.
It’s equipped with seven layers of water purification: a Ceramic Filter, Silver-coated Active Carbon Granules, Zeolite Infrared Bio Ceramic Ball, Silica Sand, Mineral Sand, Mineral Stone, and Ion Exchange Resin.
These materials all serve a different purpose. Collectively, they function by filtering dirt, rust, and waste materials, as well as eliminating bacteria that can be found in regular water.
The Water Purifier Pot also has a unique Magnetic Tap which makes water molecules denser in order to increase their absorbability into the human body.
The downside is that it has a cheaper build compared to the other entries on this list – this isn’t much of a surprise, though, considering its low price point. The product’s perimeters and spout have a tendency for water leakage, and its overall filtration process is very slow.
Lastly, it can only hold up to 16L of water at a time. However, this makes it perfect for smaller households that don’t consume much water and aren’t willing to compromise their budget for pricier filtration systems.

Pros
- Plug-and-play filtration system
- Carbon filter element improves the taste of drinking water
- Stylish design that comes in multiple colorways
Cons
- Bulky, indiscreet casing
- Not suited for houses with low water pressure
If you want a stylish purifying system that can be connected directly to your water source, then the FEMIX Home Drinking System Purifier is a fantastic option. It has 5 levels of physics filtration, which purifies your water without the need for electricity.
Because it’s a Chinese product, you might have a bit of difficulty understanding the manual it comes with. Thankfully, it’s a plug-and-play device – so once you’re able to install it, the purification process will immediately start working.
One of its best features is its specially designed carbon filter element, which can significantly improve the taste of your drinking water. The company also tried to make the filter chambers as compact as possible in order to make the water flow as efficient as can be.
Despite these adjustments, we still don’t think that it’s suitable for homes with lower water pressure. Because the system is arranged horizontally, it significantly hinders water flow and filtration effectivity.
We also find that the FEMIX Home Drinking System Purifier is fairly bulky. Whether you choose to leave it on the counter or mount it on the wall, the purifier takes up quite a bit of space.
On the bright side, the device is offered in black, silver, and gold, which are all versatile swatches that can fit plenty of kitchen color schemes easily. It’s also encased in sturdy-feeling plastic that displays the entire filtration method, which adds to its stylish design.

Pros
- Made with food-grade materials
- Allows you to switch between filtered and tap water
- Equipped with an alert function to let you know when to replace filters
Cons
- Product might not fit on all types of faucets
- Requires filter changes every three months
Philips is a well-known international appliance brand, and the Philips AWP3600 Water Purifier is one of their best-sellers as an affordable but effective purifier. Its X-Guard microfiltration system will allow you to enjoy 1,000 liters of filtered water, which is equivalent to 2,857 bottles of water.
This food-grade device can be installed on your kitchen or bathroom faucet in just minutes. It comes with five kinds of adapters, so you’re likely to find one that’s suitable for your specific faucet.
Using natural granular activated carbon with a high iodine value, this filter reduces rust, odor, color, and residual chlorine in tap water. When you’re ready to replace an old filter element, simply rotate the element cover and replace these parts.
We also love how you can easily switch between filtered water and tap water. You can use filtered water for hygiene, washing ingredients, and cooking, and then switch to tap water when you wash the dishes or do other cleaning tasks.
This can extend the working cycle of the filter element, which is a good preventative considering how often you need to replace the. Philips recommends replacing them every three months or when its alert function turns into a specific shade of brown or dark grey.
That said, using this water purifier can get pricy in the long run. However, we think that it’s a good investment, especially if you want a water purifier that’s inconspicuous yet extremely effective.

Pros
- FDA Philippines-approved
- Advanced filtration system that can remove 99% of bacteria
- Comes in tempered glass casing in six different color variants
Cons
- High price point
- Requires additional parts to install
- Horizontal arrangement reduces water pressure
The Dr. Kurin Water Purifier is a five-step purification device that’s similar to the FEMIX Home Drinking System Purifier. It has also been approved by the FDA Philippines as an efficient filtration system that produces safe drinking water.
The system is equipped with a PP polypropylene cotton filter, a carbon filter, a solvent-free resin filter, a hollow fiber membrane, and activated carbon. These stages work together to block rust and gravel, eliminate odor, fluoride, and chlorine, and remove 99% of bacteria.
It also uses no power supply, pump, or transformer, which makes it reliable and functional anywhere. However, it’s another horizontal filter system, which means there’s a possibility that your water flow might get weakened significantly.
We also find that depending on the faucet, this filtering system sometimes requires additional tools and adaptors in order to be installed successfully, which is a shame considering its already steep price point.
The accessories that perfectly go with the system, such as a switcher, a stainless faucet, a filter connector, and several valves and pipes, can be purchased online.
On the flip side, we love that its casing is made out of tempered glass and that it comes in six different colors: black, red, gold, blue, silver, and white. We think that it’s perfect for families that prioritize their drinking water’s safety – the added color to your kitchen is a nice bonus, too.

Pros
- USEPA-approved
- Uses a simple yet effective four-stage purification process
- Equipped with Germkill Life indicator and automatic shut-off mechanism features
Cons
- Priciest option
- Smallest water capacity
Unilever is a global company known for creating quality products, and their Pureit Classic Water Purifier is undoubtedly one of the best water filtration systems around. Its four-stage purification process is simple, effective, and will provide your family with safe water for years to come.
Its Microfiber Mesh, Activated Carbon Trap, Germkill Processor, and Polisher Odourless work to remove dirt, metallic impurities, parasites, pesticides, viruses, bacteria, chlorine, and other contaminants.
Water produced by this system is sure to be clear, odorless, and natural-tasting. It can also purify up to 1,500L or 80 containers of water, and its filters can be replaced as well.
Other features that we love about it are its unique Germkill Life indicator which lets you know when to replace the filters and its automatic shut-off mechanism that shuts off the supply of water when the filter reaches the end of its life to make sure no one drinks unsafe water.
However, it’s the most expensive entry on this list – its filter replacements are expensive as well, priced at Php 1,498 per piece. That said, this product definitely isn’t for everyone, especially if you don’t plan on spending this much on a purification system.
But it’s one of the few purification systems that meet the stringent standards of the United States Environmental Protection Agency, so if you’re willing to splurge a bit for the sake of your family’s safety, the Unilever Pureit Classic Water Purifier is a suitable choice.
