The Starpoint C116A is a powerful choice for an at-home or in-office paper shredder.

It has a simple black body and a shiny silver top where the feed openings are. It’s got razor sharp blades and a very powerful motor.

It has a decent cutting speed of 1.5m per minute. It also has generous dust box space, which is up to 15 liters.

The Starpoint model has a capacity of shredding up to seven sheets at a time, and a cut size of 4 by 45 mm. 

What we love about it is its versatility. Aside from paper, you can also shred CDs, DVDs, and even credit cards. 

It has a 220 mm feed opening that you can do a lot with. You will see this special inlet at the top of the unit. 

For office use and handling of more sensitive documents, this shredder has a P4 level security feature. Another handy feature the C116A has is that it automatically turns off when not in use. 

What we don’t like about it is its rather bulky design, and its rather steep price point compared to the other shredders in our review.

Nonetheless, if you’re looking for a mid-range shredder that can do a lot to serve you, this unit from Starpoint would have to be our top choice.

What we love about this shredder is its sheer horsepower. It has the capacity to shred 16 sheets of paper at a time.

It’s a microcut shredder, cutting almost miniscule 2 by 12 mm pieces. This counts as German-made, Grade 5 confidentiality.

Anyone trying to put the pieces together and figure out what’s written will be faced with an impossible task. 

It has a huge dust box capacity of 30 liters. Another thing we love about this model is that if you need to shred thicker items like CDs, credit cards, and the like, these go to a separate storage bin for safety. 

This Deli unit can withstand up to 40 minutes of continuous shredding, which is very impressive. You won’t have to worry about overworking the machine, as the 9906 also has overheating protection.

It’s equipped with a cooling system, which is a great feature for a shredder of its power.

Its main drawback as a shredder is its very expensive selling price and big size. It will make it a pretty major investment for any office.

Another good mid-range shredder we reviewed is the Deli E9939.

At first glance, its design resembles that of a mini-picnic cooler. While its basket is for waste paper and it can’t fit cold drinks, this shredder certainly packs a punch.

This model uses a steel knife razor with nitrogen alloyed blades. It can cut up to 5 sheets in one go, and can continuously shred for 5 minutes straight.

It has a range of helpful features, which include quick cool down due to its smart induction design. The machine will shut itself off automatically to avoid the risk of overheating.

It also has a reverse button function for instances when you accidentally feed the wrong document into the shredder. This can help in retrieving them.

What we love about this model is how portable it is. It’s easy to bring around from home to the office, or to on-site events with its carry-on handle.

The apparent downside to this model is that it can only shred paper, unlike other shredders from Deli or other brands that can cater to shredding plastics.

The Deli E9939 also has a waste basket capacity of up to 12 liters, which is relatively smaller than other models of its class.

If you want a simple and reliable electric shredder for personal and commercial use that will do its job, you should get the Acura Shredder Machine.

It comes at a very good price, at a little over 1,000 Php.

It’s one of the slimmer, sleeker products we reviewed, slightly resembling a computer’s CPU. It is also designed to be portable as it has an adjustable arm for ease of transport. 

We like that its top part is easy to lift, thus its paper waste becomes easy to dispose of. It also has an adjustable tray, which is great so it can be placed on larger bins

It operates by being plugged into an outlet, which is great so you won’t have to worry about replacing the shredder’s batteries every so whenever.

With this shredder, you can load up to 5 sheets at a time. This model from Acura is best for shredding A3 and A4-sized documents. 

What we don’t like about this Acura shredder is that its dust catches on its basket quite easily. The unit may need to be cleaned frequently if you are particular about that.

It produces strip-cut sheets, which may not offer the same degree of confidentiality as microcut shredders do, but will certainly do the job.

We found the hand-operated shredder to be very compact, easy to stow and to bring around if you need to get rid of confidential documents.

True to its name, the shredder’s compatible sizes are A4 paper and smaller.

The nice thing about using a manual shredder is that you get to control the cutting speed––but if you crank at it too quickly, you’ll risk breaking the mechanism altogether.

The thing that we don’t like about this hand paper shredder is that in order to avoid jamming, the recommended capacity would be 1 sheet at a time. The shredder also does not do very well with thicker paper or plastic products.

Over an extended period of use, its blades may grow dull.
