If you want a high-quality cleanser with brightening properties, we highly recommend the Olay Body Science Cleansing and Brightening Body Wash.

With every pump, it creates a nice, foamy lather that’s gentle on the skin. It also has a light, pleasant smell that isn’t off-putting even in big amounts.

What we love about this Olay body wash is that it is rich in niacinamide, which is a form of Vitamin B-3, and hyaluronic acid. The latter helps reduce wrinkles and lines on your skin by helping stretch it out.

These ingredients, coupled with Vitamin C, significantly reduce age spots, hyperpigmentation, and other kinds of skin damage. This product from Olay is terrific for firming and balancing your skin tone.

After regular use, you’ll notice the Olay Body Science Cleansing and Brightening Body Wash will make your skin glow brighter and look more nourished in comparison to other products like it.

What we don’t like about this Olay body wash is that it leaves the skin a little bit dry after use, so its moisturizing capabilities in the long-term are debatable. It’s also better suited for mature skin, so we wouldn’t recommend it for sensitive skin types.

It’s one of the more popular body washes in the Philippines today because of its nourishing properties that come fairly priced.

This Dove body wash has a creamy consistency that’s mild and easy on your skin. It has quality ingredients such as coconut acid and cocamidopropyl betaine, which have great cleansing and moisturizing properties. 

These ingredients are great against bacteria that could cause acne and skin irritation, keeping the skin protected and hydrated with regular use.

What we love about Dove is its nutrium moisture technology: its formula contains ¼ moisturizing cream and can kill up to 99.9% of bacteria.

Dove products are fragrant and do not contain paraben and sulfate, thus they are also highly recommended by dermatologists.

The downside to Dove body wash is that its scent does not linger on your skin for long after your shower. Also, its lotion-like feel and consistency may not feel as nice on your skin on humid days.

If you’re a fan of sustainably-sourced, vegan beauty products, you should try the brand Love Beauty and Planet.

Love Beauty and Planet’s ingredients are ethically sourced, and its body wash aims to maintain your skin’s natural moisture. It’s also generally affordable and becoming more readily available commercially.

Their Beautiful Moisture Body Wash contains Amazonian murumuru butter and rose oil. It is infused with plant-based ingredients that are not harmful to the skin, even to those who have allergies.

Love Beauty and Planet is a gentle and exfoliating cleanser that’s body wash is paraben-free, silicone-free, and doesn’t have any dye of phthalates. It’s also non-comedogenic, so it’s good for those suffering from acne and breakouts.

What some might not like about the Love Beauty and Planet Moisture Body Wash is that its scent may be too strong.

It also contains some ingredients that aren’t necessarily good for the skin, such as myristic, lauric, and stearic acid, potassium chloride, and sodium laureth sulfate.

If you’re already a fan of Safeguard bar soap for washing your hands and taking a shower, you’ll be sure to love Safeguard’s Gentle Micellar Body Wash.

The Safeguard brand is trusted and dermatologically-approved, as its formula kills up to 99.9% of germs. It is recommended by the Philippine Association of Medical Technologists.

This product is suited for all skin types, being a gentle wash that clears dirt and excess oil with micellar water. It’s good even for those with dry, red, or sensitive skin.

The downside to the Safeguard Gentle Micellar Body Wash is that it does not have much moisturizing capabilities compared to the other body washes we reviewed. It’s also unscented, and feels as gentle as water on your skin – which can be off-putting.

If you want a scented alternative, we recommend that you try the coconut and peach or berries and pear variants. 

If you aren’t very fond of or constantly forget to put on lotion but struggle with dry skin, we recommend you use the Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Body Wash.

This hypo-allergenic body wash contains rich emollients and colloidal oatmeal. It also contains an active ingredient called dimethicone, which creates a protective barrier to the skin and moisturizes it long after washing. 

The product provides you with 24 hours of moisturization, which is fantastic if dry skin is something you’ve been struggling with for a long time. 

Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Body Wash is also non-comedogenic, which means that its ingredients do not clog your pores. It is clinically-proven to be easily absorbed by the skin, across all skin types.

The drawback of using the Aveeno body wash brand is that it’s rather expensive, with its roughly 500 mL bottle costing you about 500 Php a pop.

For those who also like sweet-scented, aromatic products, you may not like that the Aveeno wash is fragrance-free. Since its ingredients are all natural, they don’t contain any soaps, dyes, or additional fragrances.
